Callum Cotterill’s practice has had its foundations within the automotive industry for over 5 years. Until recently he had focussed on the communities within the automotive industry, however, has since delved into exploring his ability to create fine artwork from the small, beautiful details found within automotive machinery. A statement on both the ability to create pieces from the result of industrial innovation, and also having a goal to avoid creating advertisements, that seem to fill up the majority of automotive works.
The images in ‘Artomotive: Blurred Lines’ produce individualised approaches for each vehicle, personifying them, delving into a connection between a person and their car.
